Put all ingredients, except soda, in heavy boiler.

Mix well. Cook until peanuts begin to pop and syrup begins to turn darker. Set off heat and add soda.

Stir quickly because the mixture foams.

Have 3 tins well-greased.

Pour mixture in each.

Let set aside and harden.

Do not put in refrigerator.

When well hardened, break into pieces.
