Bring to boil 1 1/2 cups sugar, cornstarch, fruit, cinnamon and 1 cup water.
Cook 1 minute, stirring often.
Pour into casserole 9 x 13 x 2-inch.
Mix 3 tablespoons oleo, brown sugar and nuts; set aside.
Combine flour, sugar, shortening and buttermilk.
Stir until moistened.
Turn dough onto floured surface and knead 3 or 4 times.
Roll dough to approximately 12 x 8-inch.
Spread with pecan mixture.
Roll up like a jelly roll; slice.
Place slices atop fruit mixture and bake at 400Β° for 25 to 30 minutes.
