Patchwork Casserole
Patchwork Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground beef, 2 c. green peppers, 1 c. onion, 2 lb. southern style hash browns and 2 cans tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Brown meat; drain.
Add peppers and onion; cook until tender.
Add remaining ingredients, except cheese; mix well.
Spoon half of meat and potato mixture into a 13 1/2 x 8 1/4-inch baking dish or 2-quart casserole dish.
Cover with half of cheese.
Top with remaining meat and potato mixture.
Cover with aluminum foil or dish cover.
Bake 45 minutes.
Uncover dish. Top with remaining cheese.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Serve with salad. Makes 12 servings.
