Pastry Dough
Pastry Dough is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour, 1 stick (4 oz.) cold butter, 1 tsp. salt (less if salted butter is used), 1 tbsp. sugar (optional) and 1/4 c. ice water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine dry ingredients in food processor bowl.
Cut butter in 2 or 3 pieces; process with cutting blade until mixed.
With machine running, very slowly pour in the ice water through feed tube.
A ball of dough will form in 20 to 50 seconds.
If more dough is needed, repeat directions.
Do not double recipe.
Chill dough for 30 minutes before rolling out.
