In large bowl, combine scalded milk, sugar, salt and butter. Cool to lukewarm.

Save 2 tablespoons of beaten eggs and add rest to mixture.

Crumble yeast in water and let stand 10 minutes.

Add to mixture.

Then add 2 cups of flour at a time until dough can be handled.

Knead on floured board for 15 minutes.

Place dough in greased bowl, grease top and let rise for 1 1/2 hours.

Knead again for 15 minutes.

Shape into 4 loaves.

Place in 2-quart size pans and let rise 45 minutes.

Brush with 2 tablespoons of egg that had been set aside.

Bake in 325Β° oven for 1 hour.
