Oyster Stew
Oyster Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 to 3 strips bacon, 1/2 stalk (medium size) celery, diced, 1/4 medium size onion, diced, 1 pt. oysters and 1 qt. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Fry bacon crisp.
Remove and place on paper towel.
Discard excess grease.
Dice celery and onion.
Saute in remaining grease until tender.
Add oysters and liquor in pan and heat until oysters curl.
Have milk heated and when oysters have curled, stir oyster mixture into milk.
Add Old Bay seasoning.
Add butter. Crumble bacon and sprinkle on top of stew after it has been dished into plates.
