Oyster Casserole
Oyster Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. oysters, saltine crackers, 1 small onion, chopped fine, 1/2 c. celery, chopped fine and salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Place oysters in layers in baking dish alternately with cracker crumbs and seasonings, onion and celery.
When dish is full, add the oyster liquor and sufficient milk to moisten.
Cover with crumbs; dot with butter.
Bake in 350Β° oven for about 1 hour. The last 10 minutes, turn oven up and bake until cracker crumbs are browned golden.
