Overnight Meringues(Cookies) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 egg whites (room temperature), pinch of salt, 2/3 c. sugar, 1/4 tsp. almond extract and 1/4 tsp. orange extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Beat egg whites until foamy.
Gradually add sugar and beat until stiff.
By hand fold in flavorings, then nuts.
Place plain white or brown paper on baking sheet and drop meringues by teaspoons.
(It's not necessary too allow room for spreading.) Place pan in a preheated 350Β° oven and immediately turn oven off. Remain in oven overnight.
Do not open oven door.
