Oven Style Caramel Corn
Oven Style Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. light brown sugar, 1/2 c. white karo syrup, 1/4 tsp. vanilla, 6 to 8 quarts popped corn and 2 sticks (1 c.) margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Place brown sugar, margarine, corn syrup and salt in a 2-quart saucepan.
Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes.
Add vanilla and soda, stirring after each addition.
Pour syrup over popped corn and stir to cover all kernels.
Place on 2 cookie sheets and bake in 250Β° oven for 45 minutes, stirring often.
This may be stored in coffee cans or frozen in bags.
