Oven-Fried Chicken
Oven-Fried Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. margarine or butter, 1/4 c. shortening, 2 1/2 lb. broiler-fryer chicken, 1/2 c. all-purpose flour and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Heat 1/4 cup margarine and 1/4 cup shortening in oblong pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches in 425Β° oven until melted.
Place coated chicken skin sides down in pan.
Cook uncovered 30 minutes.
Turn chicken; cook about 30 minutes longer.
Cut chicken into pieces; cut each breast half into halves.
Mix flour, salt, paprika and pepper in a brown paper sack.
Place chicken pieces in sack and shake to coat.
