Oven-Fried Chicken
Oven-Fried Chicken is an easy dinner. Made with 3 c. cornflakes, crushed fine or 1/2 c. fine dry bread crumbs, 1 tsp. italian seasoning or 1/2 tsp. thyme or sage, 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer chicken, cut up and 1/4 c. margarine or 1/2 c. buttermilk or 1/2 c. low-fat yogurt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Rinse chicken and pat dry.
You may sprinkle with salt and pepper, if desired.
Place crumbs and seasoning in a plastic bag and shake to mix.
Brush or dip each piece of chicken in margarine or milk.
Place in a bag and shake to coat.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until tender and no longer pink.
If browning too rapidly, you may place aluminum foil loosely over top.
