Oven Barbecued Chicken
Oven Barbecued Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. salad oil, 1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) fryer, cut up, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1/4 c. chopped celery and 1/2 c. catsup, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
In skillet, brown slowly salad oil, one fryer, cut up. Place in 12 x 8
2-inch baking dish.
To skillet, add onion and celery; cook until tender.
Add catsup, water, lemon juice, brown sugar, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and prepared mustard. Simmer 15 minutes excess fat.
Pour over chicken. Bake, uncovered, at
1/4 hours or until done, basting 3 or 4 times.
Serves 4.
