Oven Baked Kalua Pork
Oven Baked Kalua Pork is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pork butt (4 to 7 lb.), hawaiian salt to taste, 3 to 4 tbsp. liquid smoke, 6 to 7 green ti-leaves, washed and 1 banana leaf, washed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Completely pork butt.
Preheat oven
375°. Slice pork butt in four sections about halfway through, then rub down with salt and liquid smoke.
Wrap with a piece of banana leaf, then in ti-leaves. Wrap tightly with foil; place in baking pan.
Bake for 2 hours, then lower heat to 350° and another 2 hours. Delicious itself with cabbage!
