Orange Yogurt Loaf
Orange Yogurt Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and 2/3 c. butter, melted and cooled slightly, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 350°.
Sift dry ingredients together into mixing bowl.
In another bowl, combine melted butter (cooled), eggs, orange rind and orange juice.
Blend thoroughly.
Beat liquid into dry ingredients alternately with yogurt; mix until blended.
Pour into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350° for 75 minutes or until loaf is golden and pulls away from sides of pan.
Remove from pan and cool completely on rack.
Blend powdered sugar with enough orange juice to make icing to spoon over loaf.
