Orange Slice Cookies
Orange Slice Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1 c. sugar, 2 c. shortening, 2 eggs, beaten and 1 1/2 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream the sugars and shortening until smooth. Add egg.
Mix well.
Mix soda and 3 tablespoons water. Add to sugar mixture and mix well. Sift flour mixture. Blend well. Add remaining ingredients in order listed, mixing well after each addition. Pour mixture on wax paper.
Form into roll.
Chill thoroughly. Slice.
Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 350Β° for 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
Yields 10 dozen cookies.
