Orange Bread
Orange Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with rinds of 3 large oranges, clipped fine, 2 c. water, 2 c .sugar, 1 c. milk and 1 egg, beaten slightly, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cook cut peel in water until peel is tender, about 20 minutes. Add the sugar and cook 30 minutes longer with a very low heat. Let cool.
Add milk, egg, fat and sifted dry ingredients.
Mix well and turn into two well-greased bread pans.
Let stand 25 minutes, then bake 1 hour at 375Β°.
Brush top with soft butter when removed from oven.
