Onion Soup
Onion Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. onions, sliced, 2 tbsp. oil, 8 c. water, 3 envelopes g. washington broth and soup bones, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Slice onion.
Saute with oil until cooked and light brown. Add water, broth powder and soup bones.
After cooking a while, add salt to suit your taste.
Add white wine.
Simmer very slowly 2 to 3 hours.
Butter slices of bread and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Place slices on cookie sheet and bake to delicate brown. Put slice of bread in each bowl and pour soup over.
Top with grated Swiss Gruyere cheese.
