Onion Cornbread
Onion Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. oleo, 1 1/2 c. chopped onions, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1 c. shredded sharp cheese and 1 pkg. corn muffin mix (jiffy), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Oleo until tender (about 10 minutes). Cool slightly; add sour cream, salt and half the cheese.
Set aside. Combine egg, milk and corn. Stir until smooth. Spread batter in 8 or 9-inch pan.
Spoon onion mix evenly and gently on top of batter.
Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Bake 30 to 35 minutes in a 400Β° oven.
Let set 5 to 10 minutes before slicing in squares.
