Old Time Spaghetti Sauce
Old Time Spaghetti Sauce is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. salad oil, 2 cloves garlic, 1 large onion, minced, 1 lb. ground beef, crumbled and 2 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
About 2 hours and 15 minutes before serving, in hot salad oil in a large skillet, brown garlic.
Remove and in the same oil, saute onion until tender.
Add crumbled meat and sprinkle in flour.
Cook until meat is loose and a red color, stirring while cooking.
Add remaining ingredients, stirring occasionally. Simmer, covered, 2 hours.
If desired, serve immediately or freeze (directions below).
Makes about 2 quarts of spaghetti sauce.
