Old Fashioned Gingerbread
Old Fashioned Gingerbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter, softened, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1 c. molasses and 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Gradually add sugar, mixing well.
Add egg and molasses, mixing well.
Combine dry ingredients.
Add to the creamed mixture alternately with hot water, beginning and ending with the flour mixture and beating well after each addition.
Pour batter into a lightly greased and floured 9-inch square pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean.
