Old Fashioned Coconut Pie
Old Fashioned Coconut Pie is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 14 minutes. Made with c. sugar, c. flour, c. milk, egg yolks, slightly beaten and c. coconut, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In medium saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cups sugar and flour. Gradually stir in milk.
Cook and stir over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
Stir 1 cup hot mixture into egg yolks; immediately return to saucepan and hot mixture.
Cook and stir for 3 to 4 minutes longer.
Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup coconut, margarine and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Pour into pie shell and bake for 30 minutes in oven at 350Β°.
