Old Fashioned Bread Pudding
Old Fashioned Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pt. bread crumbs, 1 qt. sweet milk, 1 c. sugar, 4 eggs and 1 c. jelly (any flavor, optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Soak bread crumbs in milk for 1/2 hour.
Beat sugar and egg yolks together until light in color.
Add to crumb mixture and mix well.
Stir in lemon juice and grated rind and butter. Pour into greased pudding dish and bake until light brown. Whip egg whites frothy;
4 tablespoons powdered sugar and beat until very stiff.
When pudding is done, top with jelly, then egg whites.
Return to oven and brown. Serve warm.
