Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Butter toasted bread.

Cut toast into cubes and place into pan. Sprinkle raisins over toast.

Thoroughly beat eggs, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, milk, water and vanilla.

Pour mixture over toast and let stand for 10 minutes.
