Oatmeal Rolls
Oatmeal Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/3 c. water, divided, 1 c. dry oatmeal, 3 tbsp. butter or margarine, 2/3 c. packed brown sugar and 1 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In saucepan, bring 2 cups water to boil; add butter and oatmeal.
Simmer 1 minute.
Remove to a large bowl and let cool to 120° to 130°.
Heat the remaining water to 120° to 130°; add yeast. To the oatmeal mixture, add 1/2 flour.
Mix well.
Add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough.
Turn out on floured surface and knead 6 to 8 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
Add additional flour if necessary.
Place dough in greased bowl and turn once.
Cover and let rise until double (1 hour).
Punch dough in half, divide and shape each half into balls.
Place 1-inch apart in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Cover and let rise until double, 40 to 60 minutes.
Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
