Oatmeal Cookies
Oatmeal Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. (2 1/2 sticks) margarine, 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1 egg and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Heat oven to 375Β°.
Beat margarine and sugars until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla.
Add combined flour, baking soda, salt and spices; mix well.
Stir in oats, nuts and raisins.
Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes for chewy cookies or 10 to 11 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool one minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire rack.
Store tightly covered.
(I always cook one pan without raisins first because Kathy doesn't like them, but Robert does.)
