Sift together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
Beat in large bowl, butter, sugar, egg and vanilla until smooth and blended.
At low speed, beat in flour mixture until smooth.
Stir in milk.
With spoon, stir in oats until well blended. Refrigerate, covered, about 3 hours.
