Oatmeal Cake
Oatmeal Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. boiling water, 1 c. oatmeal, 1/2 c. raisins, 1 c. white sugar and 1 c. brown sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix together boiling water, oatmeal and raisins.
Let stand about 15 to 20 minutes.
In large bowl cream together 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup brown sugar and 1 stick margarine.
Then add eggs; blend well.
Add the raisin-oatmeal mixture, flour, cinnamon, salt, soda, vanilla and nuts.
Mix well.
Bake in greased 9 x 13-inch pan for 35 to 45 minutes at 350Β°.
