Oatmeal Bread
Oatmeal Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. quick oats, 1/2 c. whole wheat flour, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1 tbsp. salt and 2 tbsp. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl.
When this mixture is lukewarm, add warm water and yeast.
Stir in white flour.
When dough is stiff enough to handle, turn onto floured board and knead 5 to 10 minutes.
Place in greased bowl, cover and let rise until doubled.
Punch down and let rise again.
Shape into 2 loaves and place in greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
Cool on rack, brushing loaves with margarine for a soft crust.
