All ingredients room temperature.
Beat margarine at medium speed 2 minutes. Gradually add sugar beating continuously over minutes.
7 minutes, add eggs, one at a time, just until yellow disappears.
Combine flour and next 6 ingredients.
Combine pumpkin next 2 ingredients. Begin with flour mixture and end with flour mixture. Alternate with pumpkin mixture.
Mix at lowest blended. Grease well and flour a tube pan. Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 25 to 30 minutes. Test for doneness. Cool on rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
Ice with a cream cheese icing.
