Made with 2 lb. new potatoes, unpeeled and sliced, 2 tbsp. dry white wine, 2 tbsp. finely chopped shallots, 1 1/2 c. whipping cream and 1/4 c. chopped fresh basil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook potatoes in boiling salted water, covered, for 10 to 15 minutes. Drain carefully, leaving skins intact.
Keep potatoes warm. Combine wine and shallots in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook 1 minute.
