Never-Fail Toast 'n Cheese Soufflé
Never-Fail Toast 'N Cheese Soufflé is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 slices dried white bread, 1/2 lb. sharp cheddar cheese, grated, 4 eggs, beaten, 1 tbsp. minced onion and 1/2 tsp. prepared mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Remove crusts of bread.
Cut slices in half diagonally.
Place crusts from bread in bottom of well buttered 1 1/2-quart casserole and sprinkle with 1/2 of the cheese.
Arrange bread triangles, overlapping, around edge of casserole, point sides up, saving 5 slices to place in center.
Combine remaining ingredients, except cheese, and pour over bread.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover and let stand at least 1 hour.
Bake in a 325° oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
Serves 8 to 10.
