My Favorite German Chocolate Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (4 oz.) baker's german's sweet chocolate, 1/2 c. boiling water, 1 c. margarine, 2 c. sugar and 4 egg yolks, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Melt chocolate in boiling water and cool.
Cream margarine and sugar until fluffy.
Add egg yolks one at a time, beating well after each addition (save whites for later).
Blend in vanilla and cooled chocolate mixture.
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
Add alternately with buttermilk to chocolate mixture, beating well after each addition.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Pour in three 9-inch pans.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes or until done.
