Toast bread rounds.

Cook scallions in butter until soft.

Add chopped or ground mushrooms and cook over low heat until water is evaporated.

Sprinkle with flour, stirring to blend.

Continue cooking.

Add cream and cook until very thick.

Stir as necessary. Remove from heat when thick; add all remaining ingredients.

Cool. Spread over rounds.

Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Bake at 400Β°. Freezes well.
