Mother's French Toast
Mother'S French Toast is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 slices italian bread, 2 eggs, 1/2 c. milk, 1 c. or more cornflake crumbs and vegetable oil (for frying), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Beat eggs and milk with a fork in a shallow pan.
Spread cornflake crumbs on waxed paper.
Heat oil in a large frying pan. Dip bread in egg, then in crumbs and fry until browned and crisp on both sides.
Keep warm while frying all pieces.
Add oil to the pan as necessary.
Serve with syrup.
