Mother's Best Meat Loaf
Mother'S Best Meat Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground meat, 2 eggs, slightly beaten, 1/3 c. oatmeal or wheat germ, 1 slice white bread and 1/2 c. cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine water and white bread.
When bread is soaked, crumble into meat with remaining water.
Mix in eggs, onion, seasonings and oatmeal.
Mix well.
With wet hands, shape into loaf and put into baking pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
Spread ketchup over top and bake 30 minutes more.
Makes 4 to 5 servings.
