Mom's Sour Cream Cake
Mom'S Sour Cream Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 1 c. butter, 3 c. flour, sifted 3 times, 1/4 tsp. soda and 1 c. sour cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cream sugar and butter together.
Add egg yolks, 2 at a time. Blend soda with sour cream.
Add sour cream and flour alternately to butter and sugar.
Beat mixture for 3 minutes.
Whip egg whites until stiff.
Fold into batter and beat for 3 minutes.
Pour into a greased and floured tube or Bundt pan.
Bake for 60 to 70 minutes at 325Β°.
Remove from pan immediately and carefully.
When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
