Mom's Scalloped Potatoes
Mom'S Scalloped Potatoes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 lb. velveeta cheese, 6 to 8 medium-sized potatoes, peeled and sliced thin, 2 c. milk, 3 to 4 tbsp. margarine and 3 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Melt margarine in large Corning Ware type casserole.
Add flour and spices.
Stir and slowly add milk.
Heat over medium heat.
Add 1/4 pound cubed Velveeta.
Heat until thickened and hot, but not boiled.
Remove from heat when Velveeta/milk mix is smooth.
Add sliced potatoes, push down into sauce and mix well. Bake at 350Β° for 1 1/4 hours.
Serves 6.
