Mom's Poorhouse Bread
Mom'S Poorhouse Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. lukewarm water, 2 pkg. dry yeast, 1/2 tbsp. salt, 1/4 c. sugar and 1/2 c. oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In a large bowl, pour in 4 cups lukewarm water.
Sprinkle in yeast, sugar and salt.
Let sit 15 minutes.
Add oil and eggs. Stir.
Add flour to make stiff.
Knead well.
Lightly oil top and bottom of dough.
Let rise until double in size.
Work down and put in pans.
Let rise again.
Bake at 350Β° until golden brown. (Loaves for 1 hour and rolls for 30 to 35 minutes.)
