Missionaries' Berry Pie

Preheat oven to 425Β°.
Line a 9-inch pie plate with a little more than half the pastry.
Lightly toss together the berries, cornstarch, sugar, salt and lemon juice.
Fill the lined pie plate. Roll out the remaining pastry and cut a few slits in the top. Cover the fruit, sealing the edges well.
For a glossy crust, brush with cream or beaten egg yolks.
Bake for 45 minutes or until brown.
