Mile High Meringue
Mile High Meringue is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 tbsp. cornstarch, 2 tbsp. cold water, 1/2 c. boiling water, 3 egg whites and 6 tbsp. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Dissolve cornstarch in the cold water.
Add the boiling water. Stir and cook over heat until clear.
Beat the egg whites until stiff.
(Egg whites beat better if warmed to room temperature.)
Do not use any plastic bowls or spoons, etc. Gradually add the sugar, vanilla and salt.
Add cooled cornstarch mixture.
Pile on pies (be sure to seal edge of pie shell).
Bake at 400Β° until brown.
