Microwave Almond Crunch
Microwave Almond Crunch is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. water, 1/4 c. dark corn syrup, 1 c. butter and 1 c. slivered almonds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine sugar, water, and butter in a 2 quart glass mixing bowl.
Microwave, uncovered, for 18 to 20 minutes on or until candy thermometer registers 290Β°, stirring every 5 minutes.
Using the cold water method, it should form soft crack consistency.
Stir in almonds. Pour at once onto a buttered cookie sheet.
Break into pieces.
Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
