Mickey's Polish Sausage
Mickey'S Polish Sausage is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. smoked polish sausage, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 large onion, thinly sliced, 1 bottle chile sauce (about 12 oz.) and 1 bottle chutney (about 7 or 8 oz.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Cut Polish sausage into 1-inch pieces.
Layer sausage and onion in a roasting pan (or any large pan that has a cover that is ovenproof).
Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Pour chutney and chile sauce over sausage and onions.
Cover.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Uncover and add the red wine.
Bake for 15 minutes more.
Serve warm.
(For parties, I put the sausages in a crock pot to keep them warm and serve them from the crock-pot.)
