Mix meal, bacon drippings, eggs, milk and corn.
Brown beef with onion; drain.
Layer 1/2 of the batter in an 8 x 12-inch baking pan (greased).
Put beef on batter.
Sprinkle peppers and 1 cup cheese on beef.
Top with remaining batter and 1 cup cheese.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
