Mexicali Meat Pie
Mexicali Meat Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 or 9-inch unbaked pastry shell, 1 egg, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 (7 oz.) can corn with sweet peppers, drained and 1/2 c. soda cracker crumbs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Beat egg slightly in mixing bowl.
Add ground beef, corn, cracker crumbs, chili sauce, sweet peppers, onion and oregano. Mix well.
Press meat mixture firmly into pastry shell.
Bake at 425Β° for 20 to 25 minutes.
Spread topping (recipe follows) on filling.
Top with olives and bacon.
Bake an additional 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
