Meringue Tortes is an easy dinner. Made with 6 egg whites, 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Beat together until frothy the egg whites and cream of tartar. Gradually beat in sugar, a little at a time.
Beat until very stiff and glossy.
Drop by small spoonfuls in a circle on brown paper on baking sheet.
Bake at 275Β° for 1 hour.
Then turn oven off and leave in oven until oven has cooled.
Serve filled with ice cream and fresh berries.
