Meatball Stew
Meatball Stew is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper, 1 egg and 1 tbsp. minced onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Combine beef, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, pepper, egg, onion and bread crumbs in a bowl; mix well.
Form into 1-inch balls.
Brown on all sides in hot oil in a large skillet.
Place balls in a 2-quart casserole dish.
Pour off fat except for 3 tablespoons. Blend flour into reserved fat in skillet.
Stir in tomatoes, water, 1/2 teaspoon salt, sugar and basil.
Stir well.
Add potatoes, carrots, onions and celery.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat.
Simmer 10 minutes.
Add more water if necessary.
Pour over meatballs in a casserole.
Cover; bake at 350Β° for 1 hour or until vegetables are tender.
