Mary's Sweet Pickled Peppers
Mary'S Sweet Pickled Peppers is an moderately easy dinner. Made with green bell peppers, 1/2 tsp. salt per qt., 1 clove garlic per qt., 1 tbsp. salad oil per qt. and 2 c. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Wash, stem and seed peppers.
Cut in long wedge pieces.
Pack into jars.
Cover with boiling water.
Let stand 5 minutes, pour off.
Add garlic, salt and oil to each jar.
Boil vinegar, sugar and water for 5 minutes.
Pour over peppers and seal.
Be sure no oil is on jar rims or jars will not seal properly.
