Mary Clara's Oyster Casserole
Mary Clara'S Oyster Casserole is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 pt. canned oysters (meat dept.), 4 slices bread, 2 c. skim milk, 4 to 6 tbsp. butter or margarine and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

A complement with turkey, chicken, pork or by itself.
Open can and pour oysters and juice into casserole dish.
Wash hands and mash oysters with hands.
Add bread and mix; mash with oysters. Pour milk over, but do not mix.
Place pats of butter or margarine on top.
Salt and pepper top as directed.
Bake in 375Β° oven about 45 minutes.
Will look juicy when you take it out, but will set like custard pie.
Serves 4, but can be doubled.
