Marion's Rye Bread
Marion'S Rye Bread is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. rye flour, 3 tsp. salt, 3/4 c. dark brown sugar, 1/2 c. margarine and 1/2 c. molasses (dark), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
👨🍳 Instructions
Pour 1 quart boiling water on top.
Mix well.
When cooled to lukewarm (115°), add 1 package dry yeast, dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water.
Add white flour (takes quite a bit).
Let rise, make into 4 loaves, prick with a fork and let rise again.
Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
