Manhattan Clam Chowder
Manhattan Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 strips bacon, 1 c. celery, chopped, 2 c. potatoes, diced, 1 c. carrots, chopped and 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Cut bacon in small pieces; saute in large pot; add celery and onions.
Saute until tender.
Add potatoes, carrots and tomatoes. Drain clams.
Add enough water to broth to make 4 cups liquid. Add this to vegetables with salt, pepper and thyme.
Simmer covered 35 minutes.
Add clams and simmer another 30 minutes.
